Sony Pocket DAB/DAB+Radio

  • DAB/DAB+/FM digital radio tuner
  • Lightweight, portable design
  • Stereo sound quality through headphones
  • Choose from a total of 20 presets

The Sony pocket digital radio is a great solid sturdy little radio. It is easy to use with powerful and high quality audio for a small device. Compared with the Bush pocket DAB radio that I was using before, this Sony digital radio has it beat with better reception and sound quality.

  • smaller than most smart phones but thicker (dimensions: 115W x 57H x 24.5D mm)
  •  great sound quilaty, clear, crisp and loud, decent range from low to high
  •  great signal detection and tuning both for DAB and FM
  • easy and straight forward to use
  • with 3 dedicated preset buttons on the top is clever and convenient.
  • a small fold out stand on the rear provides additional stability
  • the ambient display light goes off after a few seconds
  • rechargable batteries last many hours, recharchable with an USB cord
  • a sleep feature provides options of 30mins, 45mins, etc. for automatic switch off

The only bad thing I have to say about this is when the battery is about to die, there is this continuous loud beeping that scares the crap out of you especially if you are listening to music at night. Is this some sort of prank someone at Sony decided to put in to amuse themselves. I guess a sudden no sound end to battery life is too ordinary!

  • small, study, soild
  • easy to use
  • great sound
  • rechargeable battery, usb charging
  • battery life is about 15hr on a full charge

  • loud beeping noise when battery is flat
